Nurses Day Celebrations

The 12th May is International Nurses Day. In January 1974, 12th May was chosen to celebrate, as it is the anniversary of the birth of Florence Nightingale, who is widely considered the founder of modern nursing

We are celebrating by saying thank you to all our nursing staff on our ‘Thank You Wall’ here at the Hospice.  Patients of the Hospice have contributed their own thanks now we need YOU to add yours….

Please comment below your own note of thanks and we will add it to our wall.  Alternatively you could come and visit the Hospice and attach your own!

John's Song

The Fairground Song

John worked with our Music Therapist Rachel Harris to write this song about his past working life in the Fairgrounds and wanted to share it with all of you...

'I found this experience brilliant, it's the best thing i've ever done.  I'm making music now out of bad things I went through in my life.  I appreciate everything that's been done for me here.  Anybody interested in hearing more get in touch with the Hospice in the Weald.' - John, A Hospice Day Service Patient
